Maarke-Kerkem, part of greater Maarkedal, is a 10 minute drive away from the historical city centre of Oudenaarde, 30 minutes away from medieval Ghent and less than an hour away from Brussels or the North of France.

Coming from Kortrijk

E17, exit Kruishoutem. Follow Kruishoutem and then Oudenaarde. Before entering Oudenaarde take N60 on your right, direction of Ronse. Follow up to the first roundabout (building materials Ottevaere on your right). Take 3rd exit, N8 Brakel/Zwalm. Take this uphill road, passing the pilgrimage at Kerselare (on your left), up until you see a road sign ‘Refuge Kapelleberg’ on your right. Follow the signs up to the guest house.

Coming from Antwerp/Ghent

Take the E17 motorway in the direction of Kortrijk, take exit De Pinte, turn right at the end towards Oudenaarde-Ronse (N60). Follow N60. You will pass Eke-Nazareth, Asper-Gavere, Zingem, Eine, Oudenaarde until you reach the large roundabout in Leupegem (watch for Ottevaere Bouwmarkt on righthand side). Coming from Brussels

Take E40 motorway Brussels-Ostend, exit 17 Wetteren-Zottegem. At the end of the exit turn right, direction of Oosterzele/Zottegem (N42), passing Oosterzele and Oombergen. At the third traffic lights follow the direction of Velzeke/Strijpen. In Strijpen follow Oudenaarde, viz. taking right along the church and then right again (N545). Keep on following Oudenaarde up until the end. Turn right, taking N8 passing the Roman brewery. After 1.5 kms you will see café ‘In den Groenen Boom’ on your left. Turn left here.
After 100 metres turn right into Kapelleberg. Follow this descending road all the way down (always keep left) until you see our farm Refuge Kapelleberg on your left.

Coming from Ronse

Follow N60 towards Oudenaarde till road sign Maarkedal on your right. Follow till the chrurch of Maarke-Kerkem. Just before the church turn left and follow the signs ‘Refuge Kapelleberg’ up to the guest house.
